Since the formation, B. Braun strived to support clinicians work by providing them with the best tools possible. Considering the increasing effect of digitalization on the medical industry, we explored new, data-driven business models for B. Braun.
Without user data, it is difficult to discover pain points of clients. Our main objective was therefore to develop new ways of gaining insights through data.
We found out that surgeons have high administrative workloads. By helping them to coordinate their organizational tasks we minimized their workload while gaining
insightful data for B.Braun.
Through leveraging data, future services or business models can be designed. One example we conceptualized was a service for the just-in-time rental of surgical tools.
A clinical platform would not only serve the needs of medical staff by streamlining their work, but also enable B. Braun to understand their customers better, creating a starting point for the development of a range of digital products.
We used our custom "universe canvas" to visualize and break down complex dependencies within the medical sector.
