With omnio we pioneered a concept for human-AI collaboration designed to empower the next generation of surgeons in their battle against cancer. Watch the video to learn more.
Challenge
The rise of AI and the complexities of true collaboration
The continues rise of AI technology raises the question of how to use these it in an intuitive and supportive manner that fosters true collaboration between humans and AI. Omnio explored this by looking at what it would mean in the future if AI became a true companion for surgeons.

We spoke with multiple surgeons and observed numerous surgeries to gain a comprehensive understanding of the true pain points and needs of today's surgeons.
Define
In the next phase, we synthesized the discovered pain points and worked in close collaboration with medical experts to refine them.
Ideation
After gathering our findings, we created multiple paper wireframes to test and iterate multiple ideas efficiently.
User Testing
To further validate our ideas, we presented them to surgeons for testing and refinement of our hypotheses.
Filming
For this project, we decided to create a movie that showcases how a concept like Omnio could function
in the real world.

Decision Support
To begin, Omnio provides surgeons with a clear and structured overview of the patient, presenting all vital information in one place for easy access. This helps surgeons keep all parameters in check while deciding on the best possible treatment procedure.

By utilizing omnio’s decision support, the surgeon and his colleagues can view multiple treatment options for their patient with detailed explanations.

Surgery Reports
Omnio collects data during surgeries for in-depth analysis and future research. It also enables surgeons to generate documentation instantly and provides improvement suggestions.

Omnio also supports the surgeon's learning journey through a personal hub with useful insights, as well as personalized feedback on past surgeries with practical examples to help identify areas for growth.
